Feeling sentimental this afternoon while finishing up the end of the year and the compilation slideshow we like to show- it' been an amazing year and on behalf of myself, Sara and Jessica, we'd like to thank you for allowing us to document one of the biggest days in your life, one of the best days in your life. It's truly been a joy and an honor to do so! Here's a look back at 2011.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the families who bid on our portrait sessions at the PS29 Spring Gala and Silent Auction earlier this year. I feel so fortunate that my children can go to such a special public school. We had a great time with the Klauss Family a couple of weeks ago in Prospect Park on a gorgeous fall day.

Can this little girl be any cuter?! Look at that adorable smile.

Some information about the budget cuts and why raising money for our public school is so important; from the PS29 website:

It’s hard to imagine things could be tougher for NYC public schools, but another $1.4 Billion in budget

cuts is slated to hit us next year. It is up to the schools’ families and PTAs to make up for these

reduced resources. PS 29, in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, is an exemplary elementary school which educates

a diverse community of 715 schoolchildren, approximately one third of whom are eligible for free

lunch. The cuts to our budget over recent years have been profound.

On February 10th, the PTA’s Spring Gala and Silent Auction is expected to make up some of this

shortfall. All the monies that are raised by this and other PTA events go directly to enriching our

students’ education through a wide variety of learning initiatives. Providing our children with a wellrounded

education is paramount for our families.

Natasha & Adam's wedding day was alot of fun to document! I love this getting ready shot.

Natasha gave these purses to her bridesmaids as gifts- if I remember correctly, she found them on Etsy.

Nyack Beach State Park- an special place for Natasha & Adam.

No joke! It was soooo incredibly hot that day. The ceremony was supposed to be held outdoors but it ended up being indoors because of the heat. Regardless, the ceremony was still beautiful and nothing mattered but the moment.

Joel is a musician and he wrote the song they danced their first dance to. Hear it here along with their slideshow- it's beautiful!

As Sara can attest to- I love all things Etsy! and from the looks of it, so does Leanne. Leanne found alot of fantastic items on Etsy that she incorporated into her wedding. She found her vail, purse and hair flowers on Etsy as well as some of things, see later in this blog.

Flowers were done by the wonderful team at Steven Bruce Design- they really understood the rustic, backyard look that Leanne & Joe were going for.

Leanne's mom found some of centerpiece containers, such as this watering can, at The Brimfield Antique Show.

Leanne's sister's dress from a shop on Etsy- custom made for her!

Love this fingerprint tree (also found on Etsy) that the guests signed and stamped with their fingerprints.

Holiday Party in The Allen Room at JAZZ at Lincoln Center

Wanted to share some of fun detail and environmental shots from a holiday party that we photographed earlier this month. It was held at The Allen Room at JAZZ at Lincoln Center. If you've never been there before, oh my goodness, what a view! It was soooo New York!

This is what the room looked like- the tables were set up in a stadium seating set up.

Hank Lane Entertainment provided music for the evening. Everybody had a really nice time. We had a fun time too. Our associate photographer, Jessica, was with us on this assignment.

Yes, its true. Another year has come and gone, and where this one went we have no idea!

Our studio will be closed from Thursday, December 23th 2010 thru Sunday, January 2nd 2011.

You may wonder "What will Sara & Sarma be doing??

Well, Sarma will be visiting family, hanging out with those precious boys of hers, and of course doing some biking.

My exciting plans include reorganizing my home office (yes, i actually enjoy that), having brunch at one of my favorite spots McKinney & Doyle, hiking with the pups, and since there's no snow in the forecast I guess I'm going to have to hit those sales racks.

We hope you enjoy your plans whatever they may be (of course we'd love to hear all about it) and we look forward to seeing you next year.

We had a great time photographing Vaughn! I love this first photo- what a beautiful shot of a this 4 year old boy and how great to have it to look back to when he gets older.

He and I had a terrific time rolling around in the leaves and laughing.

Robin Hood- he was totally in character for these photos. An actor is born!

All of the bridesmaids had a different version of a bridesmaid dress that incorporated lace- here's a detail shot of one of the dresses.

You can then see the lace details carry through here wrapped around the mason jar with the candle holders.

Best shoes ever!!

Butterflies to symbolize the family members that have passed. The children at the wedding set them free after the ceremony- it was very beautiful.

The butterflies stayed close to Faye!

This was really fun- we went to the Starbucks where Faye and Tom had their first date.

We got a phone call from a gentleman in Michigan who was going to fly his girlfriend to NYC to propose! He had a terrific 3 day stay mapped out, full of wonderful NYC sights to visit, shows to see, shopping and a romantic dinner at The River Cafe in Brooklyn. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend after dinner on the Brooklyn Bridge and wondered if this is something we would be interested in documenting. Say no more- we were there in a heartbeat!

We made our plans and she never even knew we were there.

She said "YES!"

A great story for their family friends back in Michigan!

Sitting here working on the post production of Nicole & Steve's wedding and I can't wait to show you some of the images before I've finished. Here are some favorites from the "formals" time we had with them. We had the best time- they were up for anything and we got great images. It was so much fun to work with them.

I love both of our interpretations of this setup. Top one photographed by Sarma and the bottom one by Sara. Two very unique views of the same situation, that is going to look stunning in their album!

same here- we see things entirely differently but it works so well together as a story.

I know, right about now you are thinking this is a set up and they are models!

We had people driving by, stopping us and asking the same question.
